Giant
Photo Service has been located in Downtown San Diego since 1958. We started
out doing only large B&W photographs in our very small location on F
Street. It was where Horton Plaza Shopping Center is now located. A photo
of our original location is pictured on our web site. The width of that
building was approximately 12 feet wide. Imagine producing 8 foot wide photographs
there. We only produced photos larger than 16"x20". Many years
later, in 1979, we started producing smaller prints, but still only in B&W.
in 1984 we began offering color enlargements from negatives. In 1993 we
started offering the Type R process; color prints from slides. Now the Digital
Age is upon us and Giant Photo Service has been offering large format Pigmented
Prints since 1995. In keeping up with the Giant Photo tradition we now offer
LARGE FORMAT scanning. We can scan your
oversized architectural renderings, art work, framed paintings and photographs
directly into our computers and reproduce accurate renditions of your originals.
